Happiness Is....

Happiness means something different to everyone!  Spring time is one thing that makes me smile and I so enjoyed making these April scrapbook pages.  I couldn't wait to break out my new Daisies #2 Big Shot die and use it in combination with the awesome Summer Sun Corduroy Buttons that I got FREE from Stampin' Up in Hawaii.  I came back with several packages of these buttons and I immediately visioned using them as the centers for the daisies.  I love how these pages turned out.  I love the clean, fresh, and crisp look of the colors together.  Very simple and uncluttered with room to add more detail if you so choose.

When you look at page 2 - this is the center panel that unfolds with more room for photos.

This is just the daisies close up so you can see the corduroy buttons!  They come in several colors and add great texture to these pages.

Smiles of Spring

Hi everyone!

I'm glad that I can finally share these March scrapbook club pages with you.  Truth be told - I lost them!!!!  Good thing I found them because they are some of my favorites.  I absolutely love the Fifth Avenue Floral stamp set.  These pages are great for spring & the colors are beautiful together.  Take a peek - tell me what you think!

   

Here is a close up photo of the flowers.  I used some of the Celery glitter out of the Fine Cosmo Glitter Collection.  I put dots of the Tombow Multi Purpose Glue in the center of the flowers to hold the glitter.  The little sparkle added a great touch!

Sweetheart Scrapbook Pages

Who are your SWEETHEARTS?  Sweethearts can be your significant other, your children, your pets, your nieces & nephews and other members of your family!  Regardless of who you call sweetheart here are some scrapbook pages where you can showcase the ones you love.

These pages were created for my February scrapbook clubs.  We got to use the Big Shot with the Scallop Circle Die, the new Circle Scissor Plus, and the Heart to Heart punch.  This new circle cutter is so awesome!  It is so different and so much better than the Coluzzle - in my opinion.  Circles now cut with ease - and you can even draw circles with it too!  You do need a glass mat to use this new tool.  Try it out - you'll be pleased!

Here are three more scrapbook pages from the calendar class - July/August/September. 

July

Not your typical July page...Mandy & I usually design a 4th of July page - but something different is good.  I really do like the Muirfield DSP's and the colors!  Who couldn't use a swimming page, right?!

August

And yet another patterned paper that I love!  Mandy chose Haiku for this month and a great summer design.  This page will work for all different summer events.

September

OH and what demonstrator can resist completely copying a great page from another awesome demonstrator!  I loved this page and just had to re-create it for the calendar class.  Thank you to Kimberly VanDiepen for her awesome design.  This page is completed almost 100% with the Big Shot and a few dies.  We used the Leaves #2 Bigz die, the Serif Alphabet dies, and the scallop die.  Add some Hawaii Papaya DSP and there you have it.

Calendar Scrapbook Pages #2

Good morning!

Happy Black Friday!  I don't know how many of you get up and out so early - I'm just not a morning person.  I'll shop - but starting at 9am!

I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving and enjoyed their families, friends, and of course turkey!  I had a really nice time and enjoyed visiting with my family.  We all took a moment to tell each other what we were thankful for this year and then enjoyed the fixings!! My dad had taken a bunch of old film from around 1969-1971 I'd say and had it coverted to DVD and we watched that yesterday too.  It was from his Navy days when he was about 19 I believe, so young looking, his time being stationed in Hawaii and then times back here in St. Louis at my Grandma and Grandpa's house.  At the very end I was in the film - yes 1971...but I was still in the womb!  I saw some live shots of my grandma before her stroke and of my great grandma too that I've only seen in photos.  It was of course silent - but fun to watch...what memories for my dad.  I'm so very thankful he was here this year to share another Thanksgiving with his family.

Here are three more months of scrapbook pages from the calendar class - April, May & June.  Thanks again Mandy for being such a great stamping partner.  She does fabulous work - doesn't she?!!

Annual Calendar Class Scrapbook Pages

WOW - I can't believe the annual calendar class has come and gone again for another year!  Mandy and I had 22 stampers making the calendar this year - and we had a great time!  The ladies had a choice to create a 12x12 calendar or just twelve 12x12 scrapbook pages.  Best part - EVERYTHING  was pre-cut for them....It was a full 8 hour day for most - but what a sense of accomplishment. 

After this class is completed - we always have a second 12x12 page class in February.  In this class the stampers will create matching pages to go with the pages they have already created.  In the end - they have TWELVE 12x12 sets to cover the entire year.

November Scrapbook Club Pages

Today I'd like to share photos of my November scrapbooking club pages.  This is a very simple, classic design - not alot of clutter - just very crisp & clean.  I certainly feel that less is more sometimes!  I really like how these turned out.  The idea for the pumpkin came from a favorite scrapbooking magazine so I decided to incorporate it into my design.  The pumpkin circles are distressed with a distressing tool and Chocolate Chip ink.  Some of the club members even decided to distress the photo mats on the 2nd page - wish I had thought of that!! :)  A photo is meant to go in the center of the pumpkin.  One of these days, I'll get photos on the pages!!  I hope you like them and these ideas inspire you to stamp a few pages yourself!
