Bag in A Box!

Hi Stampers!

This is another cute gift box/bag idea.  It is called a "Bag in a Box."  So so so easy!  Make these with any designer series papers and colors for many different occasions.

 

Supplies:

• Stamp Sets:  None.  This is an "all" occasion gift box!
• Cardstock:  Close to Cocoa
• Ink Pads:  None.
• Accessories:  Riding Hood Red Striped Ribbon, Chocolate 1/4" Ribbon, Candy Lane DSP
• Tools:  Round Tab Punch, Scallop Edge Punch, Crop-a-Dile
• Lots of Sticky Strip!

Dimensions:

• Candy Lane DSP:  (1) 5-1/2" x 11"
• Close to Cocoa:  (1) 4-1/2" x 4-1/2"; Score at 1" on all four sides, then score from each corner down to 1" score mark
• Close to Cocoa:  1" x 11"
• Close to Cocoa Scraps - For Round Tab Punch

Monogrammed Notecard Purse

Hello stampers!

I can't wait to share this project with you!  I saw the idea for this project at the Orlando SU regional event a week ago.  For the life of me - I can't remember the fantastic demonstrator's name who showed us the idea for this project.  I tweaked the project to make the cards monogrammed and changed the colors but the idea is simply marvelous!  At my team's recent DIVA night - they made this project as their make & take. 

If you would like to create this project - I'll be holding the class on Tuesday, February 3rd, 7pm at my home.  The cost of the class will be $12 and includes the purse, 8 notecards & envelopes.  Your purse will also include a matching ink pen with holder.

The purse flap is made from the Top Note Bigz Die.  She taught us a new way to create the "FAUX LEATHER" technique.  Too cool!  Here is a close up photo....

 

Then the inside of the purse is a note card holder.  I forgot the ink pen that is supposed to be there.

Holiday Treat Mini Pizza Box

Hello!

Sorry I haven't posted in a few days - I'm finally over the hump of busy days for December.  Now I just have my own Christmas cards to make, holiday baking, gift wrapping - and my favorite - visiting and traveling to see my family.  I have several posts for you this week.  This is a really easy project to make and is so cute.  I can't wait to create it for Valentine's Day as well!

Scallop Envelope Box!

Good morning!

Just how versatile are the Big Shot dies?  VERY!!  This project is a simple gift box created using the Scallop Envelope Bigz Die.  Isn't it so adorable?!  The box is made die cutting four envelopes and adhering them together to make the box.  Watch soon for a tutorial to be posted to the website. These make great gift boxes, favor boxes, and place setting decorations for any occasion.  Wrap up some candy, nuts, candles, lotions, soaps in a cellophane bag - tie it with a bow and voila...you have an awesome and inexpensive gift!

Accordian Box Card Organizer

Good Morning - Happy Wednesday!

I don't know about you but I can smell the turkey in the oven a week away!  Mmmm!  AND - five days in a row off of work!  My company gave us the Wednesday before Thanksgiving off this year too - woo hoo!  Oh what to do with five days......hmm - STAMP, EAT LEFTOVERS, SHOP, STAMP, STAMP!  What is a girl to do?!

Today I want to share with you pics of the accordian box card organizer class that I held.  My sample which many of you saw in the invitation to the class was used with the Summer Picnic DSP...BUT I loved the way Amy R.'s project turned out and the color combinations - so I want to showcase hers to you today.  Her class choice was the Hawaii Papaya DSP with coordinating Tangerine Tango & Chocolate Chip cardstock.  She also used the Eastern Blooms & Sincere Salutations stamp sets.  Isn't it so pretty?  Well, the photos are a little dark - but you can still see ok!

 

Amy has decided to make these boxes for Christmas gifts.  I don't know about you but I'd love to receive one!  Thank you Amy for sharing your box with us!  Great job - I'm glad you enjoyed the class.

Holiday Ideas!

Hello everyone!

I hope you had a good weekend!  I was able to really relax today and spend the entire day with my daughter.  We had lunch, went clothes shopping, and then to the movies.  I've been so busy lately with the stamping retreat and then the annual calendar class this weekend - I just wanted to give her my undivided attention for an entire day.  We had a great time - and she came home with some new cool boots and a few outfits - so she is thrilled and we have a few more memories to keep forever!

To begin your week - I just want to share two more retreat projects with you.  The first is a flip album that the retreat guests had the pleasure of making.  Mandy Gaa designed the book and shared it with all of us.  She did a great job!  It is made with 1/2 of a simply scrappin' kit - Summer Home.  So buy one kit - make two albums!

The second is a very simple stocking stuffer gift that we made.  It is a hot cocoa holder and the topper is created with the Top Note die and the Big Shot.  I got the idea from Kimberly VanDiepen, changed a few elements, and it is so adorable - and such a sweet gift for teachers, secret pals, & co-workers etc.

There were 20+ projects that the ladies made at the retreat!  The ones I've shown this week are only a few.  Watch this week for dates of the Spring retreat so you can mark your calendars.

Hot Cocoa Holder

I hope you've enjoyed some of the retreat projects I've shown over the last week.  I'll be back this week with some other creations.

Holiday Plate!

Here is an awesome home decor project that we made at the retreat last weekend!  I loved designing this project.  We got the "plate" idea at convention this year - and 6,000 demonstrators all took a deep breath and sighed at the same time when we saw it on the big screen!  A talented Stampin' Up! employee and fellow demonstrator Carrie Cudney delighted us with this project.  (I secretly covet her job!) I simply decided which holidays I would use to create the inserts and stamped away.  Imagine the possibilities of how many inserts you could make.  We made the SIX pictured below at the retreat.

What a fantastic gift this would make or a great decor piece for your home or your desk at work.  The clear glass plates can be found at Wal-mart or Garden Ridge for around $1.50.  I chose a small 8" plate and the inserts measure 5-1/2" in diameter.  Throw in a small easel and you have an inexpensive but very nice gift idea.

Mr. Twigster Gift Bag & Tag

Here is another retreat project that was made during our stamp camp class.  Isn't it so cute?  Mr. Twigster is so popular and such a steal!  This is one of Stampin' Up's white gift bags that I covered with bashful blue cardstock, Frosty Day DSP from the holiday mini book, and added a tailored bow.  The tag was created using the Top Note die and the BIG Shot machine.  Too cute!  What an inexpensive way to make a handmade gift bag for the holidays. 

And then - fellow demonstrator Mandy gave me this adorable card that just happens to match perfectly!  Thanks Mandy!

Fall 2008 Stamping Retreat

Hi Stampers!

The retreat this weekend was a success and I'd like to share some of the projects that we made.  Each day I'll add a few so you'll have to keep checking back for more! 

This retreat was 50's style so of course we had to have a hula hoop contest, a bubble gum blowing contest, and the ladies tried their best at name that tune!  We stamped and scrapped all Friday afternoon into the night and then played BINGO for Stampin' Up! products and had our popular AUCTION for even more product!  The guests earned auction bucks in the months leading up to the retreat and for participation in retreat events such as swapping card ideas, bringing snacks, booking workshops etc.  Over $600 in stamping supplies were WON by all!  We truly had a good time!  CLICK HERE to see a few pics!  The photos are also in a Fall 2008 Retreat photo album on the left side of my website.

Now for some projects - this project is a notecard holder created using the Season of Friendship stamp set that is found in the Holiday Mini Book.  I have used this stamp set so much and just love it!  The notecard holder itself is a template that I received years ago and is so easy to duplicate.

 

Notecard Portfolio

• You start with an 8-1/2" x 11" piece of cardstock. 
• With the 11" side going across the top, score at 5-1/4" and 5-3/4".
• With the 8-1/2" side going across the top, score at 6" and 6-1/4".
• Fold all of the score lines with your bone folder.
• Cut out the rectangle section that is created between all 4 score lines.
• Stamp your cover & adhere.
• Set Jumbo eyelets after cover is adhered.
• 25" of Alpine Felt Ribbon

  Notecards

• Base is 5-1/2" x 4-1/4" (Quarter sheet of cardstock)
• Very Vanilla is 5-1/4" x 4"
• DSP is 1" x 4"
• Punches 1-3/8", 1-1/4", 1", 3/4" and Scallop Circle
• Note:  Cards are postcards - not full cards but can easily be converted into full cards.
